Commercial Distribution LGPL Open Source Distribution

OEM / SaaS license provides distribution rights for a named application (a specific product/service) and allows you to license your product or service to your end users/organizations as you choose with no restrictions. With this license you may remove the LGPL VWG waiver, and you do not have to notify your end user organization that you have embedded VWG in your product.

We recognize that not everyone does business in the same way so we can be flexible on our licensing arrangements and offer a couple of payment models.

  • Lump sum Payment: One-time payment of $5,000 for a lifetime royalty free deployment and distribution rights.
  • Pay-as-you-go: A fixed monthly fee which allows immediate usage without the need to pay in advance (recommended for small organizations).

You may license your named application with an LGPL license for VWG combined code or library. This license requires a notice to your end user organization that the application contains LGPL open source VWG library or code and that VWG is the copyright owner. You are also required to maintain the VWG LGPL Copyright UI waiver, as it presented on VWG UI (from version 3.1.1). You may remove it only with commercial distribution option license. If you choose the LGPL open source distribution option, you may deploy the combined application freely and there is no OEM / SaaS Royalties owed to Gizmox.

Visual WebGui OEM / SaaS license agreements are required when your application combines Visual WebGui (VWG SDK which is the core of all Visual WebGui's development environments) and is distributed to more than 5 end user organizations or servers as SaaS. Organization is an entity which acts as an end-user of the application, or uses the application as SaaS, whether by an individual or multiple users within the corporation, company, partnership or any other entity.

For example if the combined application (your application plus the VWG SDK) was sold to 5 organization only, you don’t need an OEM License, however if you sell it to more than 5 different organizations, you will have to distribute it with VWG OEM license.

Similarly, if you choose to provide a service using an application that combines the VWG SDK, and you have more than 5 users from different organizations, you will have to distribute it with VWG OEM agreement.
